We have worked on Children’s Bible with enthusiasm, with belief in it.

I have been lucky enough to have a scriptwriter, Toni Matas, with whom I agreed on the most important issues. We both saw clearly that we wished to present you the Sacred History as recounted in the Bible. We haven’t invented or added anything to make a more “modern” narration, nor have we aimed to surprise the audience with original, striking details. The coincidence between Toni’s intentions and mine has allowed us to work smoothly and happily.

AutorsToni has worked with the four Gospels, comparing them and selecting the content. In this sense, his job is very commendable, as he has an innate tendency to spread out, to go beyond the limits, and in this case he had to make an effort to contain himself, to simplify. In a man such as himself, this is almost a miracle.

For my part, I wouldn’t swear that these strips are a work of art, but I can argue that both the drawings and the script tell the story well. The drawings tell the story with classical images, the kind of images that tradition has brought us, and this has been done deliberately.

Our target audience, of course, is children and young people. But also, in a special way, adults who acknowledge their ignorance in this matter and feel the need to deepen in the faith of their ancestors.
